About Vernon Coffee Roasters

Ayman Harby is originally from Alexandria, Egypt, and has spent most of his adult life in Vernon, Connecticut. After first moving to New York in the early 2000s, he eventually made his way to Vernon, where he has built his life and raised his family. With a background in construction and renovation, he later followed his passion for coffee and began envisioning Vernon Coffee Roasters, which was rooted in his early connection to coffee culture in Egypt. In May 2022, our café first opened its doors, and we began sharing little pieces of our day with the Vernon community.

The Kings Court

The King's Court first opened its doors in June 2026 as an addition to our original café, creating a space for people to gather, enjoy live music and events, or simply relax with a fresh cup of coffee and something from our kitchen.

Inspired by Egyptian heritage, The King's Court carries subtle touches of Egypt throughout while offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the Vernon community. Whether you’re stopping in for your daily coffee, meeting up with friends, or joining us for an event, it’s a unique café experience where you can enjoy great coffee and connect with the culture and traditions behind it.
